NASCAR's Ross Chastain: From watermelon farmer to driver

NASCAR drivers celebrate their Cup Series victories in different ways.

Alan Kulwicki did the Polish victory lap in 1988, taking a backward lap around the track. Carl Edwards had his famous backflip. Dale Jarrett and his crew were the first to kiss the bricks on the start/finish line at the Brickyard 400 in 1999. Alex Bowman couldn’t see through the smoke of his burnouts, getting stuck with his car on the soggy terrain at Chicagoland Speedway.

Ross Chastain is the latest driver to claim his first Cup Series victory after a thrilling end to overtime at the Circuit of the Americas, edging Bowman and AJ Allmendinger into the closing corners.
